
Dev Johanson
In 1995, Dev began his career in his hometown of Los Angeles, at the restaurant Chaya Venice.
After 11 yrs of honing his skills in hospitality, he moved to NYC in 2006. 2 years later he was
finally able to find a home at Employees Only where he continued to study and practice, more
specifically, the craft of cocktails. Over the course of his 10 yrs at EO, he served as bar manager
for 3 yrs, won national cocktail competitions and played an integral role as part of the award
winning team at Employees Only which garnered the 2011 TOTC Spirited Awards:
“World’s Best Cocktail Bar” & “World’s Best Drink Selection” and again in 2015, when the
Employees Only bar team were tapped with “Best American Bar Team” and “Best High Volume
Cocktail Bar”. He has become an internationally recognized and well-respected figure in the
hospitality industry.
